You And Me Together, Stars Forever

I normally think that rocking patriotic fashion is a bit... "cheesy." But, with all these awesome stars and stripes inspired pieces, it is making me think twice about it . Happy 4th! P.S. All these amazing things can be found on Nasty Gal <3

Total Recall Vintage X Always in Style

There is a rad online vintage shop that any 80's and 90's vintage maven will love more than watching reruns of Beverly Hills 90210. I stumbled upon Total Recall Vintage a while back and I fell in love with the copiousness of 1980's and 90's vintage finds. I got the chance to ask Christine Bourie, of Total Recall Vintage, a few things about her absolute favorite vintage piece and what treasures are buried in her closet. You absolutely have to check out Total Recall's online shop at Total Recall Make sure to follow Total Recall on Twitter and become a fan on Facebook for any updates and be the first to get the scoop on fabulous new merchandise. Just a click away... @TOTALxRECALL and Total Recall Vintage FB.

P.S. I forgot to mention there is a RAD giveaway from Total Recall coming super soon so be sure stay up on the latest!

Where did you come up with the name Total Recall?

Well, I wanted to have a vintage boutique that was more eighties/early nineties clothing than most other places. And when I think 80s, I think Arnold Schwarzenegger and tech noir. Total Recall was a little bit cheesier than Terminator, but it makes sense and I think it's a good fit.

What is your favorite vintage piece you have come across?

I actually came across my favorite piece yesterday, a pair of black sheer wide leg pants with flowy panels of tiger print on the front and back. Absolute perfection.

What is the best decade for vintage in your opinion?

I prefer late eighties/early nineties. Some of the grungy stuff is really fun and the materials are better.

Aside from running an online vintage store what else do you love to do?

Eat brunch and drink mimosas. And buy shoes.

What does your closet look like? What are your favorite, go-to pieces?

My second bedroom pretty much serves as my closet, and it's a mess. I'm all about Jeffrey Campbell, so my Litas are my #1. And I pretty much live in my vintage shredded shorts. Lots of tiny clothes, I don't like to wear much...tons of bralettes and bandeaus.

Anything you wouldn't be caught wearing or is nothing off limits?

I would say Uggs. That's really all I can think of, I'm pretty open to everything.

I'm sooo excited for this OC Thread event this Sunday, May 15th at The Lab in Costa Mesa. Thread is a one day pop up event that features top up and coming fashion designers. What I love about Thread is that it show cases amazing local designers and brands that you may have never known were right in your own backyard.

One of the reasons why I am excited for Thread to come to Orange County is because I will be able to be a part of this rad event. Super Supadupa

Here is a sneak peek at Supadupa Vtg's SS 2011 collection of pure vintage amazingness. I have blogged about Supadupa before and this probably won't be the last time. What I love about Supadupa is how each and every piece has such a uniqueness about it. There are a couple pieces I have my heart set on already. One of my favorites is this pastel tribal print poncho... I can already imagine all the endless outfit possiblities *sigh* Be sure to make your way over to and stay tuned for the launch of their SS 2011 collection. We all know everybody and their uncle has a Facebook so it's no excuse not to become a fan of Supadupa Vtg on Facebook, and for all you Tweeters out there make sure to follow Supadupa on Twitter. I have a feeling this collection is going to be another hit and the reason for needing a third closet.

Don't you just love the Spring and Summer season? You'll fall in love with it even more, when you slip on these breezy, lightweight (with a dash of edge thrown in for a good mix) pieces by, you guessed it New York based designer SGC NYC. This amazingly kick ass line draws their inspiration from youthfulness, individuality and New York. My favorite piece from the collection has got to be their Tee Dress, a definite must for street chic style this season. I love how it can be dressed up, down, casual or edgy... Such a versatile piece. Now that you're convinced that SGC NYC is one of the most killer lines out there, make sure you check out their SS 2011 collection at SGC N-Y-C.

I have been on a rather long hiatus but I am back for good. After tackling a full time job and working on additional projects on the side, I felt that I had left the things I wanted to persue behind. My love for styling and blogging was put on hold for a second, but I had sooo many exciting experiences and opportunities that it was definitely worthwhile. I learned so much than I could ever imagine. I am definitely taking every little bit and

One of the adventures that I got to go on was getting to coordinate and style Lola Paige's SS 2011 look book. My favoritest (that's not a real word, but I am using it anyway) and most sweetest blogger in the entire world... Jessica Wu from Fascination Drop was the guest blogger at the shoot, and she worked it in front of the camera, like always! The shoot was held in beautiful Crystal Cove during sunset hours, and the lighting was magical! Check out my girl wearing this etheral lace dress by Lola Paige. Thanks to Jessica for making it out and joining us in our amazing shoot!
