Bundle Up

Stylesight.com
With the weather here in Orange County finally feeling like more like winter, my mind is on finally transitioning my Summer wardrobe into Winter. Just a couple photos to inspire me... My favvvvorite look is the first photo. I love the soft, feminine yet tough feel of the outfit. The soft pink bow top, chunky gray sweater cardigan and polka dot sheer tights are given an edge with the paring of the leather shorts and motorcycle booties. My favorite part of the look is the vintage leather satchel, which is the perfect way to complete this outfit, giving it that " I didn't try too hard" appeal. These looks have got me ready to start my search for my favorite coats and sweaters this season, better late than never!
Hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Drape Yourself in Vintage

Mine!
Mine! I got so many compliments on this
sheer lace maxi skirt!

My new favorite store has got to be Drapes Vintage nestled in Downtown Santa Ana's, Artist's Village. With it's urban yet eclectic and bohemian vibe the Artist Village it is the spot in Orange County where you can catch an amazing Chicken Waldorf Sandwich at The Gypsy Den, meet some talented artists at the Santa Ana Art Walk, and YES! do some awesome vintage shopping at Drapes. The first time I walked into Drapes it was a dream come true, I had to look at everything in the store for fear of missing something I'd fall in Vintage Love with. Tara Jimenez, is the owner of Drapes Vintage. Tara is a FIDM alumni and has been in the fashion industry for years. Sharing her love for vintage clothing with both her mother and grandmother, Tara's passion for vintage evolved into Drapes Vintage. Tara handpicks each piece and I have to say she has amazing taste and her eye for detail is right on target. There is so much to look at and choose from... women's, men's, shoes and accessories, they have it all here at Drapes Vintage. Whenever I pick up a vintage piece at Drapes, I can see the quality in it and pride that Tara has for her store. Aside from being Santa Ana's top vintage destination, Drapes Vintage is also home to one of a kind pieces of art from local artists. Where ever you look there are stunning, one of a kind art that will inspire you. Drapes Vintage is definitely a MUST on your next vintage shopping trip. The prices are fabulous and first time customers at Drapes will recieve a 10% discount on their purchase. Become a fan of Drapes Vintage on Facebook.

Fast Forward... Marc by Marc Jacobs

Style.com

From one of my all time favorite designers, the Marc by Marc Jacob's Spring 2011 runway show was nothing short of amazing. As always, Marc Jacobs put on a wonderful show. Combining 50's glamour with the sophistication of the 70's, it was expected that Marc put his own spin into the designs. The silhouettes are vintage inspired, with a youthful and fresh take on the print and and colors. The Spring collection also featured the return of the "hot pant." A daring trend seen this past Spring, Marc Jacobs kept the look sophisticated by paring the short shorts with a crisp, military inspired short sleeved button down shirt. My favorite look was of course a vintage inspired floral dress. The look is has a sweet and effortless feel to it. Take a look at more looks from the show which included several vintage inspired swim suits... Marc by Marc Jacobs

Lola Paige

Hiiii everyone!

So this month has felt like it's literally on fast forward. We (me and Thien, my business partner) finally launched our line, Lola Paige. Lola Paige is a line of vintage inspired swimsuit cover ups but can be worn as an everyday piece. Some of the styles we have in our line include rompers, an asymmetrical dress and a lace pocket tank. I missed blogging, but now I am back and I graduate from FIDM next month so I will surely be blogging more often! Thank you to all who have commented on my blog posts and everyone who has become a fan of my blog on Facebook. Everyone is so supportive and inspiring. I am trying to get back to everyone who has commented, both on Facebook and here (I have too many social networking accounts...I lose track!), but if I don't get back to you just know that you are awesomeee and I will visit your blog:)

Here are a couple of photos from the fashion show that featured Lola Paige and my recent outfit post. I got this scarf at H&M and it is my absolute FAVORITE. After I bought these olive green pants I found the most perfect pair of cargos at Forever 21. But, what I love about these is that they can work for the Military trend we are seeing. They are such a basic and versatile piece that they can translate into many seasons and trends.

To see more of what I am doing with our line, Lola Paige become a fan on Facebook...www.facebook.com/lolapaigeclothing and visit our blog...http://www.blogger.com/www.lolapaige.blogspot.comThanks to everyone again, you guys rock:)

Hugs and Kisses

What I'm Wearing...
Foreign Exchange beige tee, Forever 21 skirt, Target belt,
Cathy Jean Booties, Forever 21 accesories

Huge thanks all of you lovely girls and guys who have commented, are following my blog and become a fan on my Chic in Wonderland Facebook page:) Big hugs to you all! xoxo
This is my new favorite necklace! I got it at Forever 21 a.k.a. work. I kinda have become obsessed with chain necklaces and this is by far my fave. I have worn this outfit many ways in the past couple of weeks. I'll change up the top, belt and tights, but I think this styling of the outfit has a more sophisticated look with a fun and edgy twist...purple tights and cowboy inspired booties.

Lots of exciting things happened this week including the fashion shoot I did with the clothing line I am interning with, Mobius Lounge. Check out all the behind the scenes video and photos on the Mobius Lounge Facebook page here!
P.S. Be sure to become a fan on my Chic in Wonderland Facebook page and follow me on Twitter if you don't already:)

Happy Friday:)

Daydreaming of...

They Are But One Necklace- Kahlil Gibran Collection

Dreams' Projections Earings- Walt Whitman Collection

Celestial Bodies Necklace- Intuition Collection

Sacred Images Earings- Ancient Architects Collection

The Spirits Dance Earings- Indian Legend Collection

Hey all! I stumbled upon AK Vintage Jewelry, while doing a project for school. Once I saw their work I was instantly reeled in. Based in Portland and designed by Anna Korte, each collection is inspired by nature, literature and the story behind the vintage pieces being used. What makes AK Vintage so different from any other jewelry line I have come across, is that each piece is one of a kind, made of a mixture of vintage pieces and recycled leather. My favorite is the Sacred Images earings!
You can purchase AK Vintage on their website http://www.akvintage.com/ or at any of these awesome stores...Wasteland (LA, Santa Monica and San Francisco), Zschoche (Newport Beach) and Fred Segal (Santa Monica).
